Jacob pulled up to the apartment building where he had been staying for nearly a week now, parking in his usual spot farthest from the apartment, he stepped out, blood still staining his clothing, He heaved a frustrated sigh and took in a deep breath of his trench coat, the beautiful female vampire's scent still lingering on it, He had enjoyed the brief time he spent with the odd vampire girl, she may have been odd but he didn't mind, he felt a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach as he visualized her sad and lonely expression that seemed to be on her face nearly the entire time he was with her.
As he thought about her he walked to his apartment, up the stairs of the building to the third floor before taking the key from the inner pocket of his trench coat, he inserted it and twisted it, opening the door slowly, he walked in and shut the door behind him, sighing softly as he slid his messy coat off of his shoulders and sat it on the table in the living room, He went and got a washrag and dampened it in the sink of his kitchen before sitting on the couch and beginning to wipe away the blood from his coat, He mumbled to himself as he did so. "Hopefully I won't end up on the list of whoever sent that squad of vampires to kill that lycan.... I would hate to have to leave this place so soon. I'm really starting to enjoy this city... As well as its inhabitants.. well most of them."
And with those words he finished wiping the blood from his coat, he stood and hung it from the coat hanger next to the door, heading to the bathroom for a much needed long and hot shower, hopefully to wash away the blood caked on his skin, he relaxed under the steamy water of his shower as it ran down his body, he closed his eyes placed his hands on either side of the shower head, leaning his head down into the water, his long black hair hiding his face, wondering just how long he would stay here in this city, and maybe, just maybe if it would become his permanent home.

She watches the other vampire walk in curious, then smiles sadly. "He'd probably never want to see me. I'm a hybrid." She sits on the steps to the entrance of the building and starts singing softly. She closes her eyes as she sings.... losing herself in the music she starts singing more. She sings song after song for about an hour, before opening her eyes slowly as a tear falls. "why my family...?" she hangs her head starting to weep, for once not caring if anyone saw her. She cries for her dead family, the father she never knew, and for acting to much like a human.... less as a vampire.

After nearly an hour in the shower Jacob reaches down and turns the hot water off, stepping out and drying himself off, suddenly he hears it... strange soft singing, he drys himself off quickly, his hair still wet and matted down to his neck and face, he gets dressed in a t-shirt and some black leather pants, He opens his door, frowning as he hears the singing stop only to be replaced by the sound of a young woman weeping, as he walks down the steps he sees her, then he notices her smell, her scent is odd, he can tell she isn't human but.... Is she vampire or Lycan? He can't quite seem to tell. In his many years of life he had encountered a few like this.... Hybrids they were called if he remembered correctly.
Slowly he moved down the steps and sat beside her frowning slightly as he saw her tears flow, he sighed softly, having learned over his long life that prejudice only lead to violence and hatred, he had given it up, all his life he had seen vampires killing lycans and vice versa, His opinion on the matter had always been that it was idiotic for two immortal races to fight one another, The war would never end he knew... but not everyone had to fight in it.
He reached over and carefully brushed the tears from her face with the back of his hand. "...Excuse me miss, is everything alright?" He says in a soft and caring voice.

She blinks feeling a hand, gently wiping her tears away and her expression goes white for a moment before she relaxes. "y-yes good sir." She looks at the moon "I'm glad to see someone else shares my opinion on this war.... even if I was made to destroy the lycans for our kind.. we're shunned still." She looks at him again "I'm Kora." Bows her head towards him, before watching a shooting star go by. She starts to sing again only this time its a song she enjoys that's modern called I Don't Care by Apocalyptica. She smiles faintly to herself.

Jacob furrows his brow in confusion, fairly sure he hadn't voiced his opinion on the war, he had simply thought it, caught off guard slightly he nods and speaks. "I see...Well, my name is Jacob, Nice to meet you miss Kora.... How exactly did you know my feelings on this pointless and never ending war? I'm fairly sure I didn't speak of it..."
He smiles slightly at her beautiful voice as she sings and lets out a soft sigh, her voice reminding him of his mothers who died so long ago. "...Would you like to come up to my apartment? I just got out of the shower and I still need to dry my hair... as you can see." He runs a hand through his still damp hair and frowns slightly as he wipes his damp hand off on his shirt.

She looks at him warily "I'm a mind reader. that would be nice, Jacob. Thank you." She smiles standing up and holds out her hand in a gentle teasing tone "come on slow poke" She chuckles softly as smiles down at him softly, her face losing its wariness and slowly showing trust. She looks down the street keeping an eye on some humans, her eyes unfocused slightly. When her eyes snap back into focus shes relaxed. "How do I remind you of your mother...?"

Jacob smiles slightly and nods at her. "I see, well... Thats a unique gift." He glances up at her chuckling slightly as she teases him about his lack of speed in getting up, he takes her small hand in his own and stands, releasing her hand as he turns around and walks up the stairs to his apartment, he opens the door and holds an arm out towards the open doorway. "Ladies first, And about my mother.... She had a beautiful voice like yours."
He sighs softly, trying to ignore the memories trying to snake their way back into his thoughts, memories of his mother singing softly to him as he lay curled up in bed, terrified from some nightmare of his youth.

she smiles going through the door then frowns looking at him "I'm sorry. I brought that up...." she looks at his apartment whistling softly. "you have a nice apartment. Its much better then what I have with my aunt." walks to the table careful not to touch anything. She looks from him to a couch. "May I...?" She raises an eyebrow in question.

Jacob nods smiling slightly at her as he walks in behind her and shuts the door, he glances at her as she looks at him then the couch. "Its alright.. Can't help but think about them at times, and sure, go ahead. I'm just going to go dry my hair. Make yourself at home Miss Kora."
He walks down the hall and into the bathroom, his apartment a fairly nice apartment for the area, a couch, a few chairs an average sized flatscreen TV hanging on the wall with a modest sound system and entertainment center below it.
Jacob takes a few moments to dry his hair and comes back out, his long black hair framing his face and sitting on his shoulders. He speaks softly as he goes to the kitchen and gets himself a glass of water. "Would you like something to drink, or eat? I've grown to enjoy human food... it may not satisfy my hunger but it tastes delicious at times."

She blinks and sits on his couch thinking "Steak?" She looks at him and blinks a few times "Wow. your...." she trails off hanging her head as if ashamed of herself "Handsome. very handsome Jacob." She looks up at him shyly almost and smiles to one side at him. "I know what you mean about memories. They hurt... at times." She looks out the window to keep herself occupied.. to keep from thinking of him in this new way.

Jacob smiles slightly at her words, having a few pieces of steak in his fridge, he pulls them out, his pale face turning a light shade of pink at her words. "...Uh...Thank you?" He nods at her words and lets out a soft sigh as he pulls a frying pan from under the stove and puts it on one of the burners. "How would you like it cooked?" he asks, somewhat embarrassed by her compliment, he hadn't really thought about her like that, he had his mind pre-occupied by thoughts of the other female vampire, Rayne Morte was her name.
He let out a soft sigh as his mind drifted to images of her and her soft, cold, pale skin, He took in a deep breath of air, still remembering her intoxicating scent as it had filled his nostrils.

she looks down embarrassed and murmurs "um Jacob.. if you wouldn't mind...?" She then looks up and smiles tiredly " just forget about what I said. medium rare please." she closes her eyes and starts to hum again only to start singing softly in her native tongue as she looks out the window wiping a tear away. She blinks seeing a star go by and whispers "Please. keep me safe." She then wonders over to jacob curious as to what he was doing. She breathes in quickly and licks her lips "smells good." Looks at the steak humming softly. "sorry if I can't stop humming or singing.. it keeps me calm at the moment..."

Jacob frowns slightly, having forgotten she could tell what he was thinking about and such, he closes his eyes trying his best to think of something unimportant. "Alright, Sorry about that..." He glances down at the pan and lightly presses his middle finger into the center of one of the steaks, he judged it needed a little more time. "You got it, Medium rare, it'll be a bit longer."
Glancing over his shoulder at her he smiled softly, "Its alright, I don't mind Kora. Is something making you uneasy for you to need to hum to keep calm?" He asked as he glanced back at the meat and flipped it over, letting it get a nice sear on the other side now that it was almost done.

Smiles bitterly, "my past, my family, and myself." She starts to sing under her breath, glancing at the walls with unease. "I'm also not used to being in a building.... I'm more of the... stay outdoors as much as I can person." looks at the steak smiling "Thank you, for helping me Mr. Jacob." She looks around for a table to sit at where she can both keep an eye on her host and the streets. Not that she didn't trust Jacob. She was just wary of others of her kind. She'd been shunned for as long as she could remember, even by her own family. Which in the end had caused their deaths.

Jacob nods at her words letting out a soft sigh as he flips the steak over onto a plate and sits it down in front of her placing a nice sharp knife and a fork on each side of her plate before grabbing a cloth napkin and placing it carefully in her lap, He smiles softly at her and sits down across the table from her. "I see, well... I don't really prefer being outside or in, I'm fine either way."
Noticing her expression he frowns slightly. "Is something wrong? Is the steak overcooked?"
