Calendrea woke that morning full of energy to finish the work upon the Ford Explorer. She wolfed down her breakfast, a large naval orange and a wheat roll with a huge hunk of butter on top, as she dressed for the day. Taking the last wedge between her teeth, she opened the door to the garage and skipped down the stairs. If she finished pulling this motor today and got paid the srest of the money she would have enough to buy some materials for her sculpting. She had an image she wished to craft and had spent the night sketching the details until 2 in the morning.
As she crossed the bay floor towrd the light switch, she walked passed the explorer hoping everything went well for her. It would take about 10 hours for her to change out the motor and install the new one. Unfortunately the old motor would not be good for anything save scrap metal. Soon she was leaning over the opened hood of the truck hooking up the wench to the motor readying it to be hoisted free of the frame. The radio played loudly, as usual, to keep her focused upon the task at hand.
During the day she had only been interupted by other customers 12 times. Laughing at that she pocketed the fees for vaious repairs and oil changes happily. Washing up she breaks for dinner having chinese food delivered. Breaking apart the chop sticks, she eats her lo mein in the garage on a stool with the big bay door open to the street. She cuts an odd figure for anyone looking in from the street.

Celest sat at the back of a taxi that night, which was a big difference from her nightly routines. She was feeling lazy that time so she decided to commute instead of jumping over rooftops and slipping through the shadows, typical for a vampire like her. Tonight was different from most nights, she decided to take a spin round the city in a vehicle, just like any other mortal. The travel time may be longer, but it gave Celest the time to admire the city more from behind a car window.
She was drifting off to places when the taxi suddenly jerked to a stop and she was almost thrown forward. Fortunately, she was able to stop herself from slamming her face onto the back of the driver's seat. Celest was about to ask what happened but she was held up with the sudden loud voice of the driver. He went out of the taxi, slammed the door hard and opened the hood, shouting out his complaints to the heavens.
"Stupid car! Why did it have to stop at a time like this? Aw man, damn this infernal piece of junk, never did serve me well even before! I shouldn't have paid my moolah for junk! Stupid deal, I've been robbed, I tell ya!"
Celest looked outside and realized they have stopped at the city's limits. Thinking that complaining would just do nothing, she got out of the car, eyed the area and saw an establishment off the road. The old man driver seemed too preoccupied with the poor vehicle so she decided to go there instead and maybe, call a tow-truck to haul in the car and get herself another ride.
"Hey, I'll try and look for help, alright, Grandpa? There's a building just over there."
"Yeah, sure. Maybe try calling yourself another taxi too since I might be trashing this junk soon, Miss."
She smiled, nodded once and walked casually towards the structure, breathing in the night air when she realized she was going to a garage. Hopefully, they could help the old man fix his car and end his so-called misery. When she stood before the entrance of the garage, she then called out, "Anyone here? I could use some help..."
