She walks on the normal path, smiling unusally happy though if one looked they would see her bones starting to show. She laughs softly her eyes sparkling almost, while she wondered why she was so happy. She stops at a tree touching its bark lightly looking at the Half-Moon mummuring "Beautiful.." She Closes her eyes for a full minute listening to the animals and hums low then softer to a more gentle tune.

Heading back from the post office after dropping off some bills and retrieving an unmarked package from the postmaster Nadia chose to take a short cut to her new apartment. The park was clothed in velvety blackness tonight with several stars already out. Knowing it was the time that not only lycans were out but others she preferred not to encounter. She lifted the package under her arm and slipped it into her large backpack for ease of carrying and then put it over her left shoulder. Her next expense was definitely going to be a car or subway pass. This was far from safe to be doing. She needed her hands free and having the bag over her shoulder would hamper her movements if she was forced to draw her gun. With any luck she wouldnt need it tonight. Nadia's eyes searched the shadows and trees for anything of concern and then she strode purposefully down the path headed through the heart of the park. Her apartment was just across the street and down a block. Not much further really and the walk felt good that night. Her ears picked up someone else nearby a girls voice humming. And then her nose caught a wiff of scent. Feeling her muscles tense slightly in reaction to it at the same time as her brain categorized the burning scent. Vampire. Not good definitely a bad choice to travel this late through the park. She reached into a pocket of her coat and felt for the small gold chain she had inside it and took two seconds to put the necklace around her neck. Thank goodness she had stopped at the jewelers that day, the cross lay out in the open against the deep blue of her tshirt.
