Tiredly Felix finds himself moving silently in the night, nearly dragging himself along. Sighing he looks up as his eyes behold a great temple and his refuge, his hide out. Dragging his feet mentally he ambles along the dirt road with hands in his pockets. "Man I hate this war..." He mutters with a sigh, "So much lost that could be gained." Shrugging he pushed the heavy doors that was the entrance of the temple open. He'd walk in and close it behind him. Sitting on a box Felix would remove the pistol from its holster at his side. Looking at the tool he would eject the clip and place it to the side before he dismantled the fire arm. Methodically he would clean it and then put it back together before reinserting the clip. This place....it was what he had come to consider his home, or maybe his hide out of sorts. Really being what he was meant that Felix could not afford to have any permanent place of residence, but this was his life. No use complaining, Right? After replacing the pistol into the holster Felix gave a glance around tiredly before leaning against a wall, shrugging to get into a cozy spot.

The vampire maiden sniffed around silently. Someone was intruding upon her hiding place. She sniffed the air, moving through the shadows, shifting and creeping like a beast of darkness, like a living breathing shadow. She silently perched upon a ledge on the other side of the vast room, her shadow and cloaked form looking like one with the gargoyles. Her deep green eyes were searching for the intruder who had tresspassed within her temple more than once. She sniffed the air again. Musk. The smell of a male wolf, she recognized it. But what was a wolf doing here? The vampire; dubbed Rosaline, fingered at the silk wrapping around the hilt of Kiasuke. Rosaline slipped from the ledge and slipped into the shadows, her small frail form slowly approaching the man who sat with his back to her. She had heard clicking, a weapon? This caused Rosaline to take extreme caution as she slowly inched closer, her ears listening, making sure that if he drew a weapon she would know. She unwrapped the hilt of Kiasuke with silence grace, slipping off the smooth ribbon in one swift movement. Soundlessly she slipped Kiasuke from it's hilt. She was very close to him now, keeping to the shadows, ready to attack if need be.

Letting out a slow yawn Felix shrugs his shoulders. He felt like he was being watched, regardless he was sure that if they had wanted him dead then he would have known about it by now. With a slight sigh he would grab a book laying next to him and then open the classic novel to read it in whatever low light there was. Slowly he would reach for a bag of potato chips he had stashed there previously, Opening the bag he would eat and read at the same time. By now he supposed whom ever was tracking him to be vampire, wolves tended to be somewhat more direct and the scent was not human or vampire. Flinching he would scratch his neck, the nails on his fingers grating against the skin on his neck in an almost melodic sound. The book was old and happened to be about the loss suffered during war. It was some samurai's summary on life and art, or something like that. Felix would reach out for another potato chip and pop it into his mouth quickly. He pondered what the act of war did to people and how he believed it unnesasary which was oddly ironic for it seemed to him that he was almost born to fight. He'd been alone for a long while, his pack having been destroyed to his knowledge by vampires, whom he refused to feel any resentment to in any manner. Despite that he felt they had half brought it on themselves by trying to sneak attack the coven first. In all reality they had created the situation and unfortunately for them, they hadn't had the man power to back it up. His blood was pure but Felix had never been big on leading a pack or being an important member in the pack, yeah he would do what he was told and accomplish it to the best of his ability. But he never enjoyed it, more so when it came to spying or harming vampires. This would cause him to be an outcast in his pack and the distance contributed to both his survival and the reason he was not swept into hatred of vampires. He remembered the day closely,He'd been sent to check out the borders and watch for any activity, but sent alone. His pack cast him out on lone missions just so they wouldn't have to deal with him. Felix had been away to the west when vampires had come from the north east. Upon returning he found a losing battle happening, clearly the vampires had the advantage. Felix faintly remembered a vampire who had been locked in battle with some rather large wolves, she had golden yellow eyes he believed and looked to be very fierce. Felix remembered the cry of anger when his pack members had seen him. But for once in his life Felix refused to fight the vampires, in fact he had attacked a fellow of his own kin when they had gotten face to face. Not only had he been attacked by his own kind when he fled but a vampire had racked it's nails across his rib cage. He had later run off and managed to narrowly escape the massacre. It hurt his memory to remember such a past, it wasn't just that he refused to fight. He just refused to fight with out reason. The names and Felix still lashed out in memory as he recalled his act of cowardice in running away. But he would not waste lives due to some imaginary reasoning that the 'leaches' deserved to die. They survived just like any other person and some didn't have a choice of what they were. Suddenly Felix didn't want to read anymore about the rules of war, there weren't any. He threw his book across the room and closed his eyes again. "Tch....a damn waste..An ugly beast better done with out." He muttered angry as he leaned against the wall on his box. The temple usually brought a semi-peace to his thoughts but tonight he wished he was not alone as he had quickly forgotten the feeling of being watched. "Oh well...lone wolf as always." He muttered and closed his eyes again.

Rosaline crouched down and relaxed a little when the wolf laid back, she sheathed Kiasuke once again and crept closer, sniffing at the air once more. This time she recognized the scent, it was that silly mutt again, Felix. Rosaline stayed in the shadows for some time, watching and observing him as he sat there, she watched his fingers as he had played with the book, then shortly she watched him toss it away. Why? Rosaline hmm'd silently to herself. She'd never understand the wolves and their strange ways. Rosaline sat down for a while, thinking as she watched him. His scent was a little bit different, perhaps that is why she hadn't recognized it right away, and nearly attacked him. She rested her chin upon the back of her hand, her thoughts being dragged back into the past. It was truly a pointless war, these foolish little fights between two species that in all honesty could easily learn to thrive in peace together, so why fight? What if her master, Zen decided to hunt her down, would she kill her? surely Zen could bring herself to kill someone who looked up her, and admire her. Though, Zen was a rather heartless woman, as far as Rosaline could see. And even if there was even a speck of love in that womans body, she would most likely never show it. But rosaline doubted that Zen would ever kill her, after all it was Zen who had saved her, and given her a new life. Though that was most likely now out of the goodness of her being, probably just something else, like the need for another Hybrid hunter to help her destroy the wolf packs that plagued the city. But, if Felix wasnt that bad, maybe the other wolves were the same as well. Really the only reason the wolves attacked the Vampires was because the vampires attacked first, and it was self defense. Or did the wolves really want war too? Why did the two races work so hard to obliderate eachother, was reason was there to do it? and what was there to come of it, it was pointless. All these questions were swirling around in Rosaline's head, both confusing her, and enraging her. She stood up and stepped out from the shadows silently, her form seeming appear out of no where. "Hey you, Felix." She smiled slightly, resting a hand on her hip. "What are you up to at this lovely time of the evening." She smiled a little more, greeting her friend.

Felix sighed and continued snacking on his chips, thinking like this angered him greatly, when angered he could lose the ability to control shifting as well as behavior. Possibly another reason he was cast aside. Felix ate a few more of the salty chips as his he continued to think. Who had even started this entire war? It had to have been a power hungry fool who feared the other race. That was nearly always the case, power and control. His chest would heave in a great sigh just before his ear would perk up a little bit and he spotted Ross, she always made his day better. Giving a smile to his friend he nodded to her. "Hey you to Ross..How are you this evening?" He'd ask casually as he shifted on his box to look over at her with a calm smile. Nearly instantly all his annoyances had vanished in a cloud of smoke and had left his thoughts clear. It was nice to have at least one friend he could depend on...hopefully. He laughed at his own paranoia and simply waved the thought away. It almost amused himself. This vampire maiden had many chances to kill him if she had desired. So she had proven her trust in the matter. Felix had to laugh at himself, is this what war had done to him? caused him to be paranoid over everyone? Felix smiled just a bit more and watched his friend.

Rosaline stuck out her tongue, her sharp pearly white fangs clearly visible as she pulled her slightly blue hued lips back slightly. "I asked you first" she said, crossing her arms over her chest. She didnt like being asked the same question she had just asked someone, it was both redundant and silly. Rosaline lifted a pale hand to her mouth and yawned slightly, dawn was approaching and they'd have to start covering up the windows for when the daylight would shine. She walked over to the large tarps and stod ontop of a large wooden crate. "Hey Felix! Will you give me a hand?" Rosaline was having troubles putting it up herself, for she was much shorter than felix, who made it look almost too easy. Sometimes she wished she was much taller than she was, almost as if she were still human. But, she had been accused of being too much like a human before by other vampires, most likely because her vampire life wasnt as long as the others, and she could still remember her human life. She struggled, trying to get the tarp up, she wasnt the most gracefull and because of this she slipped, and got wrapped up, falling off of the large wooden crate with a squeak of surprise.

Laughing slightly he rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry I got distracted in my thoughts." He apologized quickly and watched her for a moment smiling, "Yeah I'll help you.." He had to quickly move to catch the falling vampire before she hit the ground. Felix found he was slowly learning more about vampires from being around Ross. Firstly was that vampires weren't always as perfect as the stories say. And second was that they often held human qualities. Felix unwrapped her from the tarp carefully before he went about putting it up for her with a type of grace. He would calmly rehang the tarp and then spread it over the window as he checked for gaps so that no light would shine into the house, that would be bad. "There I think I got it." He said as he jumped down from the crate and looked around with a small smile. "Any other jobs?" He teased giving her a warm smile. "As for my evening...I've just been living in the past a bit to much tonight." He laughed rubbing the back of his head. Subconsciously he moved closer to her in a protective manner. Why he did so he wasn't always sure, he supposed that he somehow felt she needed him or maybe he needed her? Regardless he was hardly ever aware when he did it. "And you know...some light reading...and snacking." He laughed looking at the book he tossed across the room. "I guess practicing my pitching arm to." He teased himself and shrugged.

Rosaline pouted and sits on the floor, pulling her knees to her chest. "Thanks Felix" she grumbled quietly. She was so small, so frail and breakable. She stared up at Felix and scowled, why was he so damn tall?! Rosaline hated being shorter than anyone else. She was short in her human life, as well as her vampire life. It was so troublesome. She could never do the things she wanted, and this was a prime example, she couldnt even put the tarp up herself! What a drag. She grumbled and scooted over into the shadows beneath the windows, leaning back against the wall with a slight sigh. Now they had to wait, well.. she did, anyways. There was no way she would go out in sunlight and risk either burning herself, or being found out. It was far to risky. She looked over at Felix once again. He was so smug. "Jerk.." She grumbled, still upset at herself for being so clumzy. She felt like a fool, and that didnt go by well with her. Vampires were supposed to be graceful, and perfect, which she wasnt. She scowled and stared at the floor, silent.

Felix looked at her with some shock, he had messed up again. Sighing he looked down and said, "Hey I'm sorry Ross.." He decided to give her some room and walked off to another room. Felix would move silently with an unnatural grace into a room and think to himself, he thought back to the massacre in his pack. He'd been unable to do anything for anyone. He had been weak, that wasn't what he stood for. He should have helped someone, even though he was an outcast it had been dishonorable for him to have shown so much weakness when he had been needed so. Now who needed him? He was a lone wolf with little else holding him anywhere. He could simply move between lives as he wished. But the question was...why did he live? To what point and purpose had his existence served as of yet? Felix sighed looking up at the sealing in remembrance. Who was he to ask so many questions of himself? He should just be content to move along in life, but being nearly immortal posed many difficulties, how could one not question there-self?

Ross sighed and stared out her feet, she felt bad now for making Felix feel so bad. He didnt really deserve to be treated that way, but she had done it anyways, and now she felt.. well, like an ass. It was a cold cruel thing to do to him. After all he was just trying to assist her like any nice guy would. It wasnt his fault she was so short. But she began to question herself, who she was, why she was where she was, and what life would be like without Felix. Obviously it would be bland, seeing as she would be alone, accept for her Mistress Zen, but what good would that be? Where's the excitement, the romance, the drama? Rose slipped from the shadows and stood up, her long cloak almost reaching past her feet, just brushing the floor below them. She sneaked off and followed after Felix's scent and sniffed him out, walking into the room he was in. She still felt bad, and this definately wasnt like her to be so rude to someone so kind. "Hey Felix..? I'm sorry about what I said, I didn't mean it." She said softly, leaning slightly against the door frame, looking at him. "I know I was terribly rude.." She hesitated and stepped into the room slowly, quietly as she approached him.

Felix could hear her moving about, he knew she drew near to him. He wondered why she mattered, well she had helped him, but was there more to it then just assistance? Did she feel something for him? He looked at the floor pondering to himself. He knew he felt something for her. Yeah there was no denying it. Felix sighed and waited a bit. He watched her come up to the door frame and tilted his head, "Hey..Ross..." He paused and waited. "Ross, I like being with you." He looked at her then he put his arms around her and gently pressed his lips to hers with a small kiss. Felix then just looked at her as he held her in his arms. He wanted to tell her his thoughts, his feelings. But he was largely unsure of what they were, only that he wished to remain loyal to her and her alone. It felt simple being with her, right, natural. Like where he belonged, maybe he needed her, who knew? He wondered if she would pull away and run, after all this was taboo.

Rosaline touched her cool fingers to her lips, her chin tilted down. Shock had her caught in its grip, refusing to let go. No, she refused to run, she and Felix were well.. Lets just say he was all she had. She never had any friends, not even Zen. Even if she looked up to Zen, she knew the heartless Vampire woman didnt care, she'd hunt her down and kill her anyways, even if she tried to go back. Ross had waded into the water so far, that there was no point in trying to go back, she might as well keep going and cross the river, rather than try and turn back. Besides, there was nothing for her without Felix... She needed him. Her deep, thoughtfull forest green eyes looked up at him with confusion, longing and a sense of fear, but there was no use in denying that she had enjoyed it. Simply put she had to be with him, even if it was wrong, she didnt care. She didnt want to be apart from him. Her eyes sparkled more in the dim light, as if they were lit up from something else, some unatural light that wasnt anywhere to be seen within the room, as if her very soul itself was lighting up. In all honestly she was estatic about it, and the words slipped out before she could even stop herself, and her words were soft and smooth like silk. "I like being with you too, Felix.." She almost whispered. She seemed to shiver at her own words, afraid of what would happen from this point on, but she also welcomed it, and now she wouldnt question herself. There were strange feelings. After all, even an immortal needed some kind of companionship, and it was better that it was someone who would; could live as long as herself. It was like a tragic love story..

Felix smiled deeply, making him look very content. His eyes also held a sparkle as if he suddenly had everything he had ever wanted. "That's good to hear then." Was his simple reply. He slowly leaned his head closer to hers. His mind flooded with his memories of meeting her. For the first time in a long while he had found that he was not alone, or at least he didn't need to be. He could be with her, at least for now. He'd lean closer still and slowly place a gentle kiss upon her lips. Sometimes he felt that actions were better then words, this was on of those times. As his lips touched hers Felix found that it had felt perfectly natural, nothing had felt more normal. He inhaled slowly before opening his eyes and looking for her reaction. Felix's lips curled into a warm smile, more so then before. It felt good to hold her and even better to have kissed her. Felix had always been a kind of lone wolf he supposed, or maybe he was waiting for someone who was like him, enough like him to want to spend there time around him and with him. Was this vampire that someone? He hoped so.
