Jacob smiled softly at her nodding that he indeed understood her as she gave him instructions on how to reach her if she happened to be closed by the time he got here tomorrow. "Alright, I'll remember just in case."
He watched he as she began closing up the place, walking out of the garage as she finished up, He chuckled softly at her words, and spoke. "I understand, I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, just a decent dinner."
With a smile and a nod he agreed. "We shall." Jacob began to walk across the street, glancing back and forth before continuing across to the other side where the diner was, he glanced back waiting for Calendrea to follow, flashing her a quick smile.

She found his smile to be friendly enough and thought perhaps it would be fine eating with this stranger. It was not something she did very often, at least not since coming to the city. Back home it would not have bothered her and she supposed that was some of her mother's hysteria creeping in. Chuckling as she crosses the street to join him she decides she will not give into that. She just as well move back home as to start letting her fears keep her from living.
"I'm glad to hear it. Because it really is a nice little diner, just not fancy. I really like their chili..." She stepped up on the opposite side of the street in front of the diner and opened the front door.

Jacob smiled as she moved across the street to him and made a comment about chili, He shrugged and nodded as she opened the door to the diner. "Thank you Calendrea." Slowly he moved across the diner, almost gliding as he glanced around at the few people that were either sitting and eating or sitting at the counter drinking coffee and chatting with one another.
He found an empty booth in the corner of the diner, he smiled and held his arm out. "Ladies first." He said with a smile as he waited for her to be seated before taking his own across from her, he had always enjoyed somewhat the taste of human food, it never satisfied his hunger but it was delicious at times.

Taking the profered seat she smiled to him and scooted herself into the middle of the bench. Looking about she noticed the regulars were all in attendance. At the counter were the old gentleman...she called them the breakfast club because they would line the counter with their newspapers every morning and discuss the world's events from every angle. They were a collection of retired widowers who were comprised of liberal and conservative minds alike. What was unique about their gathering was that they could discuss politics without being rude or insulting. Their talks were always held with an intulectual tone and never an emotional one. True debates old school style. Sadly they had no lives and took nearly all their meals here.
Further back were a small collection of strangers to her. She presumed locas in the oustkirts she had not met or travelrs who were bent on leaving as soon as thier pit stop was through. Taking a menu from the napkin wrack at the end of the table she turned her attention to the menu while she spoke to the man across the table from her. "Jacob, what sort of work are you in, if you don' tmind me asking?"

Jacob, smiled softly as watched Calendrea, he mimicked her actions and took the menu from the small napkin rack and flipped slowly through the pages, looking for anything that could possibly delicious, all of it looked and sounded fairly disgusting to him, but you never know until you try.
He heard her speak and thought a moment before answering her question. "...Actually, I'm unemployed." He answered rather uninterestingly. "I've had a bit of money saved up for doing odd jobs here and there and I decided to take a nice long trip."
He glances up at the waitress as she comes over asking about their choices, the woman looks to be in her mid 40's by his estimate, He sighed softly and glanced up from his menu to Calendrea. "I suppose I'll have whatever the beautiful lady is having." With a sweet smile he looked up at the waitress, his greenish gold eyes seeming to glow as the moonlight filtered in through the window.

She laughed to hear him call her beautiful. She was grease soaked and sweaty from the day's work and she was sure a bit smelly. Shaking her head she said, "You may not like what I decide to get, Jacob." She ordered a grilled cheeese sandwhich, a bowl of chile, and a bowl of rice. The waitress wrote everything down and took the order into the back. She came out with glasses of water and a basket of chips and salsa. Reaching for a chip she dips it into the salsa and grins. "you might like this though if you are into spicey things."
The flavor of the salsa hitting her pallet was a pleasing one and set her mouth a tingle. She took a sip of the water looking at him over the rim of her glass. A thought came to her. "Uhm...I hope you don't mind me asking but if you are unemployed then what is keeping you from picking up the car during the day?" She reached for another chip.

Jacob smiled slightly, not really caring about the food she ordered, he grabbed a chip and dipped it into the salsa before taking a bite, chewing and swallowing before he spoke. "Well, Lets just say I'm busy during the day alright?"
Jacob glanced over to the waitress heading to them carrying their order, he closed his eyes a moment and took in the smell of Calendrea, she smelled somewhat musty, since she had no doubt been working hard all day, as the woman sat the food down in front of them he spoke. "Thank you miss." he said as he took a bite of the grilled cheese sandwich. "Hmm...Its alright I suppose." He said more to himself than anyone else.

Calendrea nodded her thanks to the waitress and then shrugged to Leon's reply. Despite the inconvenience it would cause her, it really was none of her business. Reaching for her grilled cheese sandwhich, she took a bite and nearly gagged. The cheese tasted terrible like glass. She chewed mechanically not really believing in wasting food, and ate it any way with a slight pained expression on her face.
Swallowing hard she reached for her drink and said, "I understand, I really shouldn't have been prying to being with." Still, she couldn't help but be curiouse. Studying people was sort of a hobby for her and she knew that she wold wonder what kept him busy during the day.

Jacob let out a slight laugh at the expression on her face as she ate the sandwich, he tasted the chili and shrugged, it was all mediocre food in his opinion, but nothing to terrible. "Its alright. So, Would you like me to walk you home?" He smiled sweetly at her, His pale skin seeming to sparkle in the moonlight as it shone through the window of the diner.
He was hungry, and his hunger would not be sated by human food, he needed blood, But being who he was, he did not believe in simply taking it from a human without permission, even if it meant shedding light on the world around them and letting them know that monsters do truly exist.

Her chile was much better than the grilled cheese, which was disappointing for she truely loved to have the both of them together. She noticed that he didn't seemed all that thrilled with it either and felt a little bad she had suggested it in the first place. Studying him over her bowl of soup, she couldn't decide what it was about him that seemed so unique. Then it began to penetrate her mind that his skin seemed to take on a sheen, or sparkle. Almost like what she imagined star shine would look like. She peered closer as she ate wondering if he wore some sort of makeup. Customs were a bit different here in the city.
There were plenty of men who wore makeup back home; the goth scene, though not one she indulged in herself, was quite popular among many ofher contemporaries. He didn't seem to fit that set though. When he asked if she wanted him to escourt her home she laughed. "All the way across the street? Are you sure it wouldn't be too much trouble?" Her tone was not sarcastic or snide but rather full of a light humor at the irony that life had to offer.

Jacob smiled at her as he ate his chili and sandwich, finishing up a few moments after her, He laughed softly at her words, nodding. "Hmmm I don't know I may need rethink my offer... Its dark, and such a young lovely lady like yourself might try to lure me into some dark alley way and do bad bad things to me." He smirked slightly giving her a playful wink as he pulled his wallet from his back pocket. "I've got it." He smiled his sweet and soft smile at her as he placed a single fifty on the table, the waitress picked up the bill and Jacob spoke. "Keep the change." He gave the waitress a wink and laughed softly.
He slowly slide from the booth and stood up, offering her his hand to help get out of the booth, he took in another breath of air, her scent permeating his nostrils, he enjoyed it, liked the smell of her, he could hear the blood pumping in her veins, and the sound only made his stomach growl slightly with hunger. "Oh my, excuse me...Protesting eating too much I guess."

She shook her head at his remark about strange women and a dark alley and grinned, "That sounds like every man's nightmare to me. Perhaps it would be safer to just head on home..." Then it hit her, remembering that he would be staying at the motel down the street that he couldn't just 'head on home'. Sometimes her teasing was not all that funny. Turning a bit red in the face she covered by taking another drink.
When he paid the tab and left the waitress a nice tip, she thought he was being a bit too extravagent, especially considering the quality of the food. However it again was just another on a long list of things that was none of her business. Taking his hand, she rose to her feet and quickly retracted herself from his clasp. She wasn't overfly fond of being touched by strangers no matter how charming they appeared. She did arch an eyebrow though when she heard his stomach growl and laughed at his explaination. "Its more probable to be food poisoning", she whispered conspiritorily.

Jacob smiled at her words, giving her a playful wink. "Nightmare to some, dream to others." He laughed softly, paying no attention to her remark about heading home. "Nah, I think I'll take my chances with you."
He walked slowly towards the door, opening it for her he smiled and spoke softly. "So, would you mind taking me to the motel you were talking about? I really can't remember passing by it on my way to your shop." He let out a soft sigh, wondering how she would react to what he would soon tell her about himself and how he desperately needed to feed.
His eyes momentarily slipped to her neck, how hungry he was, he didn't know how long he would be able to keep his blood lust in check, it had been nearly a week since he last fed and he was truly beginning to starve.

Slipping through the doorway onto the street she answered straight away and didn't even have to think twice about running him to the motel. It was service that she had performed for several of her clients. When their car was in the shop she would drive them back to the office, or to the bus station where they could get a ride home. She was quite used to having to pull out the tow truck and wander through half the city to bring back people and their broken down vehicles to her garage. So it was without any hint of the future that she agreed to give him a ride. "Sure, it'd be no problem at all. Let me just pull out the car and we can be one our way in no time at all." She looked both ways beofre crossing the street, a needless exercise this late at night and this far out from the downtown area, yet a habit instilled in her since grade school. Whenever the family would all go into town, they were constanlty looking after her, one sibling or the other, and making her hold hands before stepping into the street. Conditioning at work.
When she reached the gagage, she took her keys out and opened the man door. "Come on in and I will get the car so we can get you to the motel. You must be anxious to put this day behind you. I shan't be long."

Jacob smiled as she spoke, his mind was racing, it always did this when he told someone about who and what he truly was, rarely did he ever feed from a human without consent, He did not want to just be another wicked creature in the night, preying on those too weak and frightened to do anything about it, with a sigh he followed her across the street, not bothering to look either way, he could hear no cars, except maybe a few blocks down and none heading this way.
As they stepped up to the main door of the garage he nodded and smiled, walking in behind her. "Gladly, thanks again Calendrea. I really appreciate your help." He said as he sat on a stool waiting for her.
