The lithe blonde stepped onto the platform and hurried over to the ticket window. Passing some money over to the attendant she purchased a pass for the month and then a latte and paper. A errant breeze caught her beret and nearly blew it off her head. "Damn" she swore looking at her watch and noting the time. With any luck the next train would pass sooner than scheduled and she wouldnt have to wait. Looking around her past the trash bins and the bright signs selling the lastest cigarettes or alchohol she noticed a bench that was free and hurried over to it careful not to spill the vente in her hands. The rush of the departing train down the tracks behind her was a relief as well as startling but you wouldnt know by looking at her face. Seemingly cool she brushed the bench off with one gloved hand then sat down and crossed her legs. "Mmmm nothing like a tall latte steaming hot with cream and carmel on top" she inhaled the aroma deeply and relaxed. The last few days at the veterinarians office were hectic and her feet were killing her. Taking a careful sip and nearly boiling the top layer of her tastebuds off she smiled. It was fleeting but it was there for a second as she opened the paper to the entertainment section to see if there were any movies playing that weekend. As she looked it over and sipped her drink she looked up to watch for the next train. "Only 10 more minutes left, thank the havens." She watched the different people shift from one foot to the other waiting for their turn in line and was glad she had the bench. She listened to footsteps crunching on the gravel as a track inspector looked the rails over for any trouble before hopping back up and heading off towards a place further down the line. She pulled her hair back from her neck with one hand and leaned her head against the wall behind her. It would be so easy to just shut her eyes and rest but too many things went wrong in subways, and she wasnt sleepy anyway. Just tired of copying medical records all day for the vet and cleaning cages. She'd be glad when her course work was done finally and she was officially a vet technician. A quick look at her watch and she discovered she had only a couple minutes left. Standing she moved over to stand by the platform gate where the train would pause. She tossed the last of the latte in the trash not wanting to have to juggle it on the train and waited. "I guess no one else gets on at this stop"

Wolf would sit towards the back of the train, using a small silver palm sized device to check his e-mail list. He wore his usual attire, a finely made suit with a black jacket and white tie. His eyes briefly flickered over the screen as he murmured to himself. "Lets see..Hmm I suppose that could be an interesting job." He then rolled his shoulders as he listened to the somewhat relaxing sound of the train bumping along the tracks. He would then pocket the device and look at the news paper sitting next to him, this would only add to his appearance of being businessman on the train during the daily commute. "Ahh I see the stocks are up..good." He nodded shortly and turned the page.
Leon wore a fine after shave that had a nice musk to it, not overwhelming, but just a subtle hint of rose with a cool kick to it. He had a well kept appearance and was cleanly shaven. When the train pulled in wolf would glance up at the current location before looking back to his paper, and then his watch. "Hm I suppose if it gets to late then the drop will be canceled..." He muttered before folding his paper up and bringing a small note book out to write in from his brief case.

As the train pulls up for a brief stop and the doors whoosh open with a hiss, Danska looks up and notes the car seems fairly deserted. All the better for her to relax and forget things for a while. She put the paper in her pocket of her coat and went quickly through the doors before they could close. Just seconds later she felt a jerk and the train started again as the doors hissed shut once more. Trying to walk was like surfing on the subway and she was used to the shifting motion. With one hand holding onto a metal pole for balance she walked carefully from pole to pole then found a seat near a window and sat down. As she adjusted her beret she noticed the man sitting in the seats by the back. The dark suit looked good on him and she caught the faintest hint of his cologne. A musky smell and rose too? A unique combination she thought but pleasing to her. Crossing her legs and brushing non-existant dust off one knee of her jeans she looked at him over the top of her paper hoping he wouldnt think she was starring.

Leon would continue writing in his journal casually, only stopping to check the date on the news paper. "Sigh it seems they have canceled, what luck." He grumbled to himself but then shrugged, "Perhaps they will still show...people should honestly be more punctual. My time is money." He seemed quite cross for a moment before taking out the small silver device and poking at the screen.
"Well..There goes my day..Luckily I had them pay in advance." He continued to mutter before reaching into his left breast pocket. Leon took out a flask and took a swig. Wolf would then stare out the nearest window. "God I miss the luxury trains...oh well I need to get used to the tuna cans just as well." Sighing he took the brief case and replaced the note book into it, he then closed the lid promptly. "Yet my gut tells me a warning.." He muttered and narrowed his eyes on the girl's reflection that watched him. Leon used the reflective glass to watch her back with a small smile. Would she prove to be his contact? She is most likely just a passenger, but she is watching. He thought to himself as he waited.

It was frustrating having him sit there and look out the window, she wished he would turn around so she could see his face better. I bet he has gorgeous eyes. Normally she wouldnt let such emotions even occupy space in her thoughts but for some reason she really wanted to know. Oh dont be so stupid Danska, he probably is only passing through on business. Wouldnt he be surprised to find out she was a veterinary tech in training who loved studying plant in the wild. Yea really interesting combination of topics for conversation. Danska licked her lips wishing she still had her latte or a bottle of water from the vending cart back on the tracks. She suddenly found herself dry mouthed and hoped he couldnt tell how nervous she was. She took off her beret and shook her head and unconsiously made her hair swirl about her like a cloud of summer sun. It was getting hot in the train and she was already warm from finding him watching her. She quickly looked back down at the paper and started to scan the listing for possible jobs. The vet was good to train her, but she needed a more stable job as a second income since her apartment was in a more luxurious part of the city. A sudden jerk from the train stopping made her drop the paper and nearly fall from her seat.

Finding the train come to a swift stop my hand drifted to my left breast pocket. I was wary for things to go wrong, should they I had made sure that I had a fresh gun clip loaded in my hand gun. It would be safe from view in my jacket's pocket but it had become muscle memory to reach for it when ever I was surprised.
Sighing softly I didn't notice anyone boarding the train waving guns around in the air, a good sign. This whole thing is going to end up being a waste of my time!I thought to myself when I managed a quick sweep with my eyes. I found that my gut was warning me, but currently nothing was out of order, did subway cars stop like this suddenly? Grunting to myself I waited for the train to start again with annoyance.

Quickly getting back into her seat as the train stopped Daska looked up, just in time to notice the crowd pressed close to the door outside. As it hissed open she was glad she her stop wasnt for a bit. The platform outside was truly congested. People began shoving others out of the way in their hurry to board and find a seat. The once nearly empty car was almost full of travelers. The factories and offices must all be closed for the night now. Great now the place began to smell of sweaty body odor and stale old perfume from everyone. She moved more towards the end of the bench seat she was on and inadvertantly closer to the other man who was already on the train. A tall man in a dark gray tweed coat stood in the aisle by her holding to one of the poles. Two young boys in baggy jeans and ragged sweatshirts joked with each other near the door obviously getting off soon. Another man in a business suit that must have itched since he kept adjusting his collar and tie took a seat next to an old lady across from her. The last few people got in and then the train hissed as the doors closed and it started up once more. Danska pulled a peice of chocolate from her pocket and sucked on it letting it melt slowly on her tongue and crossed her long legs. She looked between the other travelers to see if she could still see the mystery man who traveled with her and smiled at him.

Night was glad the subway was active this late. Pulling a token from her pocket she tossed it deftly to the attendant at the ticket stand then leaped down the last few steps to land on the platform behind the others waiting to board. Her long black coat hid the long blade in the sheath at her back. It was proving to be very easy to conceal even if she had to run as long as her hair was down or her collar turned up. She was armed to the teeth, or fangs so to speak this evening after the previous evenings attack in her own hallway. She was taking no chances. Of course she would avoid a confrontation at all times though she still had to work and pay her bills. As the doors opened and the tide of human cattle entered the subway train Night slipped in unnoticed by any of them in the dime shadows of the tunnels. She had business outside town that didnt concern any of them that night and was in a hurry. Running on her own down the streets or forest paths would be faster but only call attention to the fact she wasnt human. She moved towards the back of the train then caught sight of the tweed coat she had noticed earlier when she was in line. Hmm not good. Instead she moved towards the other end of the car and stood near the exit door with her back to the wall where she had a clear unblocked view off all exits and entrances. She could flick the safety off her gun in a moment but in close quarters like this she decided to play tired business traveler and wait for the next stop to get off. As long as the tweed coat stayed on the train.

As I sat there, already feeling unnerved by the sudden stop, I watched as people poured into the car I was in. My fathers words rang in my head, A big crowed is only good for cover from sniper fire and running away in. Crowds can also get you killed if anyone wishes to sneak up on you. I'd shake my head, in a subway they could only approach from so many directions, and sniper fire would be near imposable. Old habits died hard and I realized that I lived by my fathers training, his words constantly echoing in my head at all times. Slowly I scanned the area. That women was sitting closer to me then before, I also picked up the scent of...dog? I didn't think animals were allowed on the subway. Perhaps someone had spent time with such animals?
I found myself pulling my brief case closer to my body and sighed restlessly, I hated crowds and small places. I also found myself perplexed at why this women kept looking at me. 'Easy there Wolf....calm down.. I told myself and rolled my eyes, I'd ditch next stop and get off there.

Such a big crowd made her head hurt. She reached into a pocket inside her coat and pulled out the small packet of painkiller from the office. It was just regular strength but if she took it now her headache would end before it became so bad she couldnt function. All that paperwork at the office had started it, now the sticky heat in the car aggravated it. Rubbing her temples with her manicured fingertips she closed her eyes. In her mind she still saw the strange man and wondered where he was heading or if she would see him again somewhere in town. She popped the two tablets into her mouth and forced herself to swallow the coated medicine. Water would have helped alot but of course she hadnt thought she would need it. When the train finally began to slow the first thing she would do was get a drink then watch for a taxi if they had them at this end off town. If not she could walk. Trying to seem calm and unruffled with anything she pinned her hair up with a silver clip and put the beret back on her head in preparation for getting off the train. Murmuring an "Excuse me please sir" to the man holding the pole in front of her she stood and moved down the crowded aisle slowly putting one foot in front of her at a time and holding to the leather straps from the ceiling. She wanted to introduce herself to the strange man she had been watching but needed some sort of excuse. Hmm maybe if she dropped her newspaper by him then bent down to retrieve it she could say hi as if she just noticed him. Danska inched forward, past the strangers and further away from the odd woman in a black coat. She gave Danska a creepy skin crawling feeling up her back. No way was she going closer to her. As fate would have it one of the teenagers goofing off with their buddys jerked back as he laughed and bumped into Danska and she dropped her paper to the floor at the foot of the stranger with the interesting eyes and reflexively bent to retrieve the paper as the boy mummbled an appology then kept joking with his homies. "Excuse me,I didnt mean to bother you, Im Danska." she spoke softly in a lilting voice with a slightly foreign accent. "I dropped my paper."

Inhaling calmly to keep my cool I felt the train shift and begin to slow down. I spotted the women who had been watching me begin to change seats. I watched as she stood and then got knocked around. "My name...." I'd mutter to myself, well what should I tell her? "Wolf." I'd answer in a short but sweet tone, she didn't need to know any more then an allies. "My name is Wolf." I found myself repeating the name. I then bent over and handed her the paper with a short nod. "Don't worry about it, it gets congested in these Tuna Cans..So I understand." I said low enough to be heard as I shifted to sit upright again. I briefly looked her over, her eyes held an interesting color to them, she seemed pale and skinny. Out of habit I would adjust my tie and roll my shoulders, I felt rather stiff in this subway car.

She was surprised to hear him speak and more to have him hand the paper to her. In a large city she assumed everyone would be cold, and lacking in personality or kindness behaving more like automatons. His voice had a nice sound to it when he said, "My name is Wolf" She stood back up smoothly, her balance more even and controlled. Taking the paper from him she smiled a rare smile filled with warmth. Her smiles were saved for the animals she cared for as a vet tech since they usually made no demands on her. But something about this stranger, Wolf, said to trust him a little. She pulled her beret back into place and then gripped the pole nearest her to wait as the train was nearing the stop.

As Nadia feels the change in the speed of the subway car she eases her hand to her waist as she watches the man in the tweed coat. So far he hasnt made any motion to do anything suspicious and she smells nothing odd about them all just a faint hint of domestic dogs and an undercurrent of horses. With ease of a lifetime of hunting and living in the shadows she makes her way past the other people and Mr. Tweed coat. Her eyes look over the pair of passengers discussing the fallen paper and she smirks lightly at the mild flirting. Having identified her prey and feeling a need to hunt she ignores the two and instead watches the juveniles in the car beside her. If Tweed proved to be too skilled and escaped her, then she would use her backup plan and follow the boys. It felt good as she enjoyed the surging rush of blood through her veins contemplating the hunt. But she would have to keep it low key and in the shadows of the city outskirts. It wouldnt be wise to allow wind of her predations to reach the ears of the vampire in the city or the authorities. She had enough on her kill list without adding curiosity of the local police to the mixture of it all. She fastened the button at the top of her coat and stepped closer to the man in the jacket waiting as he left the train through the metal doors. Now the hunt would begin.

I had promised that I would leave on the next stop and that was my intention. When the train stopped I would get up,"Excuse me ma'am this is my stop." I said politely before walking of calmly, I didn't care for crowds anymore then I did for being exposed in hostile territory, when the door opened I would make my way off the subway before glancing around. "Ok Wolf, Where to now?" I asked myself and contemplated quietly, I supposed I could grab a taxi cab and take it back to my motel building for the night. I quickly checked the time and looked around before stepping away from the subway doors and over towards a news stand.
My eyes briefly scanned over the tabloids and magazines, along with normal news papers. It seemed a good idea to get something so I bought my own paper and a chocolate bar before walking to the side.

She cursed under her breath as one of the teens shoved past her to get off, bumping her into the man who had worn the tweed coat. He looked up at her with an angry look as he dropped a cigarette butt to the ground. Seeing him put on dark glasses with one hand, his other going for a concealed weapon she shook her head breifly to warn him as she moved her coat open revealing her own gun in the holster. Taking the hint he fortunately changed his mind instead heading for the stairway at a fast jog. Nadia was fortunate that the annoying incident had happened since she now knew he was armed, perhaps a professional. Trying to maintain a low profile as she fought down an urge to follow him she thought again of the other man in the darker suit on the train. Young professional businessman perhaps? Either way he looked to be a better challenge for her skill. Yet the girl who was near him was another factor she would have to remember. She seriously doubted the blonde carried any weapon. No it had to just be pheremones with the two of them. All the better as she planned to follow him thus increasing her influence here. As soon as she was out the doors of the subway train she vanished silently into the shadows concealed by the other exiting passengers amid those waiting to board. She fingered the catches on her wrist sheaths that had arrived just that day smiling. If necessary she would use them though she preferred fang and claw when hunting for food. Glad she had transformed over time just often enough to be able to control it more than normal for a turned lycan, a predatory gleam filled her dark eyes. Watching the magazine stand as he purchased some things paid close attention to the locations of the different exits. Only two stairways led up from this last platform, one directly in front of her, the other far to the left past the usual communal restrooms. Flexing her fingers as she waited Nadia slipped into hunter mode. She could taste his blood and flesh in her mouth already. As she watched the blonde waiting to exit with the last people she took a breath of the stale air in the tunnel. Waiting, inching closer ever in the black shadows out of sight of the young business man Nadia continued her hunt.
