Pushing past old boxes and some mildew covered burlap sacks she heads deeper into the cellar. Piles of canned goods line a shelf on one wall, over the top of crates of magazines, newspapers, old bottles, and some kind of squash. As she moves closer to the opposite wall a sound catches her attention. A scraping, slithering sound muffled by ..the old clothing or laundry? Pulling her gun but holding it easily at her side she moves closer.
"You may as well come out. If you arent dangerous you're safe I can get you help. If you're hurt I'll get you to a doctor" she didnt mention what would happen if whoever it was happened to be dangerous. That was a given fact, as long as they didnt attack they were safe. Otherwise well, she would hope the gun shot was heard by Valentine and alerted him. She listened for a bit more then moved closer poking the clothes with a booted foot."come on...do you really want to spend the rest of the night in a damp scuzzy cellar under old underwear and pants? Surely you have a home or someone who would rather see you safely indoors soon. Or do I take the rags off the pile and find you myself?"
A few seconds later the pile seemed to morph and change as lots of the clothes and rags rose higher then fell to the floor as a frightened waitress emerged from them, her uniform torn a bit, her knees skinned up but otherwise alive. "Hey, careful!" Night barely made it to her side before the girl collapsed. She caught her in her arms and took a chance. Lifting her to her feet she helped her walk, then whistling in a high pitch tone she hoped Valentine would hear but no one else she helped her limp off over the cellar floor and to the stairs leading up. Slowly the two girls climbed up pausing once for the waitress to take a break then finally up to the doorway leading back into the hall that led to the kitchen. she made sure the waitress didnt have a chance to see a few smears of blood on the floor that led to the cooler.
