She supposed she didnt mind if he came with her. Yet he seemed a bit annoyed with her. Shrugging she nodded. "The streets belong to everyone Haru, you might as well come along. Besides if Ike see's me actually being civil to you maybe he wont be so worried about me around anyone else." She wouldnt elaborate about who Ike was or why it was good for her to get used to being around vampires. Odds were he knew she was lycan anyway. Nadia pulled some gloves from a pocket to put on her hands as the air grew chilly nearing midnight. Small puffs of air could be seen in front of her face as she spoke. It would be a cold night tonight. Maybe even snow. She would have to sleep in her apartment one more night unless someone had an apartment for rent that she could sign a contract for now after midnight. Not likely. She headed out of the alleyway making sure she went at a easy human-like pace just incase she was wrong about him knowing she was lycan. Better not to attract to much attention.

Haru moved to the side, so that he didn't block her away from the exit of the alley, bowing slightly and saying " Ladies first" in a slightly nonchalant voice. He noticed how she was feeling colder with the passing time, putting on gloves and puffs of air coming out from her lips. Altough He did feel the temperature lowering, he didint mind it that much. He was a vampire... his kind was rather cold in nature. However his breath was as visible as hers, some of it seeping through his palm as he covered his mouth while yawning.
After catching up with her, walking next to her, he spoke" Hmm, not sure if to everyone Nadia. At least not in the night. Now,they belong to the brave soul daring enough to walk them...and strong enough to fend of its dangers, heh . I'm sure this Ike would agree with me...not that I know him personally...but I did hear about him somewhat..." Indeed, as one of the top hunters of his Coven, he heard a hing or two about the Lycan packs roaming about the city. If he right, Ike was the "Alpha" of the Moonlight Pack...he wondered if he would ever face him of in person. Maybe getting to know his newest 'pup" could help. As they walked, he kept wondering why she tried to move so slowly. They were stronger then humans...they could walk much faster then this without much effort. Was it to make them look more normal...or maybe she still thought he didint know who she was. Shrugging, he decided to try and clear up that part " Hmm...Ya know,I think we could move forward a bit faster then this, slowpoke" he said, sightly. Maybe not the nicest joke, but he wanst the typical nice guy

She'd had just enough taunting for one day from random annoying humans, along with everything else. Haru's urging her to go faster was the last straw. Fine he wanted speed lets just see if he can keep up shall we? she thought to herself. With a smirk on her face she whispered "lets see if you can keep up shall we?" Heedless of what Ike might think she wasnt hurting the vampire or leading him to the pack, no she would take him for a nice run through town perhaps off into the deserted stretches of land by the airport then leave him there choking on her dust. With a burst of energy as her eyes sparkled with excitement about running free through the place she took off her image blurring in the night to vanish in the shadows.

Haru chuckled as she whispered the challenge to him, before darting of into the night. He cracked his neck, saying outloud to himself "Thats more like it... time to stretch my legs" He then dashed behind her, his form slightly blurry to the eye of a common human. Although he did lose sight of her, he could feel her scent in the air, so he knew which way she ran.Sooner then later, he saw her running in the distance. Smirking, he picked up his pace, and ran through the streets, coming closer and closer to his tonights rival

With her long black coat flapping behind her as she ran Night raced past the trees nearly flying over some low fences as she worked to put distance between her and the vampire. She could hear him racing behind her though she knew he would be able to smell her she didnt care. The fierce joy she felt in just running urged her on. As she passed several parked vehicles along the street she headed off down a dirt road that lead past a housing developement she heard Haru closing in.

Haru smirked widened more and more as he slowly gained on the lycan girl. He had to hand it to her, she was all but a slowpoke that he called her before. Seeing her jump over the lower fence with more then athletic ease in such speed wasn't a bad feat either. All the funner for him though. Jumping over one of the cars, he managed to cut down the distance to being about 10 meters behind her. clicking his tongue, he picked up his pace even more, leaning his torso forward for more speed. Both of them left rather large trails of dirt on the road, and their cloths would probably be quite dirty after the little race. Haru however did not care much about such nuisances. What counted is him getting ahead of the lycan girl. And inch by inch, he closed into her, son turning his head in her direction with a wide smirk, going head to head with her

As the dust flies around them in this odd preternatural creatures race she feels the vampire achieving the same speed to race at her side. For some reason it bothered her and she growled slightly then with a burst of adrenaline she leaped high into the air to land on the roof of a row of buildings that stood two stories high. Racing along the tarpaper covered roof tops she leaped over to the next roof listening for her pursuer.

Haru covered his eyes as she leaped up, even more dust coming up because of her sudden motion. He looked up,still running, seeing her on the roof of a two story building, still running. Deciding to be more tricky then simply jumping behind her, he picked up his speed nearing the wall of the building, and started running up against it. With the momentum he gained, and his unnatural speed, he managed to run up to a window on the first floor. He used it as leverage, and jumped up high, grabbing the ledge off the roof of the next building in the row, and puling himself up quickly. He turned around, smirking wide, as if he was lucky, he should be just ahead of the lycan girl now. Talk about a nice surprise

Speeding over the rooftops her face filled with a smile of pure delight from running free she nearly collides into Haru as she magically appears right in front of her. Knowing it wasnt really magic but stunned at not having noticed him she skids to a stop. Tired from the running on her odd diet of just energy bars until today she takes a few deep breaths then looks the vampire over. He seemed to enjoy the chase. But was it just the chase or was the hunter seeking her as prey as well? She debated pulling her weapon but chose not to, as close as they were she could see he was in better shape than her. Even with her running each day for training Haru still exuded a sense of power that rivaled he own. He would have the upper hand in a conflict between them. Deciding instead to approach him on friendly terms having tested his fitness as well as shown him her speed, then see where it went. She could always try to shift on command to get herself out of a mess if needed but she still sometimes failed to shift completely without the pull of the moon. "Haru..you win the footrace. I knew vampires were fast, but there's something about you that makes me think you arent a new born vampire"

Haru chuckled slightly as the girl stooped in front of him, taking deep breaths. He was also tired from all the running, but he tried not to show it of that much, even as the winner. He just wanted to come of as good as he could. After taking a few deep breaths of air himself, he answered her, a sense of satisfaction clear in his voice" Heh, thank you for the compliment...and quite frankly, although I'm no old prick,I'm far from a newborn vampire. Ive been roaming the world for about 180 years now...Good thing I look so young and beautiful, he he. You weren't that bad to. Had me eat you're dust for quite a long time now".
Although this wasn't his...favourite form of challenge, the hole race managed to kill of some boredom. He wasn't really in the mood for a fight now,as weird as it seemed. Although he would most likely do rather well, he didn't like going into battles when exhausted...he wasn't an idiot. So the more friendly attitude the lycan showed suited him for now

Night watched Haru as surprise at his age startled her. She agreed he looked good for a vampire though she wasnt really that knowledegable about them. The look on his face was one of pride in his own skill and she had to agree. "You travel quite fast Haru. I never thought I would say this but I think I might have to rethink my opinion on vampires"

Haru couldn't help but to chuckle, the compliment hitting the rights strings in his slightly narcissistic nature. It always felt good to be recognized for his abilities. However, he didn't let the steam to cover up all of his mind. She still was a lycan, and quite a dangerous one as far as he saw. He couldn't let his guard down completely.
He answered her after she finished speaking "Thanks a lot Nadia. Glad the little race didn't bore you. I wonder just what was you're opinion on the likes of my... guessing that you are a rather...fresh member of the lycan society, it probably isn't one of the best..."

"Hmm considering I try to stay hidden normally, I would say you did well guessing it. Not that it was a good thing for me. So you think the lycan society isnt the best? He was right, she had been a lycan only for several months maybe a year at most. She lost track of time after she was turned with all the uproar with her family and friends. Seemed that she would have to be more cautious around this vampire. She could smell his interest in her as a lycan. Though it seemed he was not pleased that she was one, she knew as skilled as he was it would not be good to antagonize him. Inhaling the night air she caught a hint of fear somewhere near but then it faded and she relaxed. Probably some childs nightmare. She wondered what to do about this vampire who seemed to know so much about lycans enough to tell she was a young one. "So you fear us or hate us? Or just want us dead is that it?"

Haru chuckled slightly at he response" Its all in the scent... The younger a lycan is, the fresher scent they give out...youre is something kinda like soil after rain... quite a refreshing scent. And about the lycans... as intimidating you're kind can be, I don't fear them. Or anything else for that matter...heh, cocky, I know. Hate...its not that really either. For the most part, I don't really care about them much... I do respect them however, as they are much stronger opponents then humans".
He made a small pause, cracking his neck, before speaking further "Now...sorry if Ill come as a cocky son of a bitch...but thats who I am, honestly. Anway... Ill be honest, Ive taken quite a few lives from the ones of you're kind... as much as I did to the ones of my kind... If I can really call most of the other vampires that..."
He then looked at her, meeting her eyes" Soo, in general... I treat lycans as anyone else... they don't bother me, they can live on...but if they mess with me... they might as well rest in peace..."
Suddenly, his face went from slightly serious to smirking again " heh,I hope I didn't bore you to much with the little speach...I don't have the chance to speak my thoughts out often" He kept watching her, Gauguin her reaction. Would she think she is a freak? Run away? Assault him? Ahh,the posibilites...

Yes indeed the possibilities were endless though risky. She would have jumped at the chance for a fight when she was younger, but now...well now was different. Night sensed an eagerness in the vampire for the hunt the fight. Yet on her own against him she might make it but not without a high cost to her own health. So she chose courtesy over antagonism though it chaffed at her. Bowing almost as if in salute to the more experienced of the two of them, she smiled coolly. "Then though I would enjoy a good fight, as well as the taste of flesh in my mouth I will concede this one to you. I fear I would lose though not without a lot of damage to either of us." She looked back up at him for a moment as she stood back up. "In fact you may just be the first vampire Ive encountered who I would offer respect to. Just dont let it go to your head. I dont give in that easy to anyone least of all a vampire" Shrugging she looked around at the area noticeing the vacant buildings close by. Soon it would be sunrise and neither of them would be safe outdoors.
